Chances are you have heard by now that fish oils can have wonderful benefits for your health. In the last several years fish oils have become widely available in both the capsule or liquid form. Fish oils are high in Omega-3 fatty acids (which are difficult to consume in your diet especially if you are not a fish eater) as well as vitamin A, C, and D.
Here are some of the amazing benefits fish oils have been found to have
Unfortunately our bodies simply cannot produce Omega-3 oils on their own. The only way to get these oils in the correct dosage is by eating fish 2 times a or taking fish oils. Many of us especially if we don’t live close to the sea do not eat fish twice a week so taking a fish oil supplement is our best bet to insure that we are getting the proper amount of omega-3s. If you prefer getting fish oils directly from the source it is reccomended you eat fish that is baked, grilled or steamed. Frying fish appears to deplete nutritional benefits.
Quality of supplements can vary widely and that certainly applies to fish oils. You must be sure that it is a high-quality fish oil supplement you’re taking. The two main fatty acids in fish oil are EPA and DHA. Fallow these guidelines to insure that you are getting a quality fish oil.
If you follow these four guidelines, your fish oil will provide you with all the valuable benefits that Omega-3 oils offer.
